Chris Bryant joins Meggitt PLC as Group Chief Procurement Officer
Meggitt PLC has announced the appointment of Chris Bryant as Chief Procurement Officer, effective 1 December 2017.
Bryant brings a wealth of experience with a background in procurement and transformation roles, and was, until recently, Director of Transformation at Jaguar Land Rover Automotive (JLR).
He joined Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in 1991 holding a number of roles and most recently was responsible for leading the establishment of JLR’s first overseas vehicle operation with a joint venture partner in China.
Chris Bryant began his career as a buyer and has also held roles at the Ford Motor Company, Aston Martin Lagonda and Jaguar Cars.
He will play a crucial role to accelerate and expand Meggitt’s procurement transformation and improvement programmes. He will have responsibility for looking across the entire Meggitt supply chain, to identify and implement further opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement.
Bryant holds a BA in Business Studies and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
