EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led community groups focused on an area people feel passionate about.

We currently have eight ERGs — BE@M, GLOW, LEAD, PAVE, SHINE, STEM, Veterans and Young Professionals.

  • BE@M

We have 1,100 ambassadors who have joined one of our ERGs.

The aim of the ERG initiative across Meggitt is to foster diversity, boost employee engagement and offer a structured platform for all colleagues’ voices to be heard. ERGs are a place where unique thinking and global collaboration translate into employee benefits.

We are committed to ensuring everyone feels included, communicated to and has a voice to discuss topics which are important to them and their lives. We are looking to you to help create a happy and positive work environment, a place where people can be themselves and are able bring their whole self to work.

We held our annual Diversity & Inclusion Week event in September with 18 sites hosting events along with virtual sessions focused on learning more about our ERGs. Employee Resource Group leaders were trained in advanced concepts relating to diversity and inclusion.

ERGs took the lead on many activities throughout the year to raise awareness, educate, and support the cultivation of an environment where employees can be at their best, including celebrating International Women’s Day and Women in Engineering Day, Pride Week and Black History month in the US and UK.

Employees also took part in the Steps for Vet’s Challenge, Remembrance Day Celebrations and joined talks on Latino History. Additionally in support of Suicide prevention week our SHINE ERG hosted “Subject Matter Expert” talks at multiple sites and provided Mental Health First Responders training.
