Rugby Borough Council has now awarded planning permission for the construction of a purpose built site at Ansty Park.
A Meggitt spokesperson comments, “This is an important next step for our proposal to have a ‘fit for the future’ 490,000 sq. ft. facility. Our intention is to establish a UK based aerospace engineering and technology hub for Aircraft Braking Systems, Thermal Management Solutions, Customer Services & Support and Corporate Shared Services. In addition, we aim to create a global engineering and manufacturing Centre of Excellence for future aerospace thermal management technology.”
Assuming all other programme goals are met, the new facility should become operational towards the end of 2019.
