Meggitt PLC MRO partnership with Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen receives first CAAC certification.

Meggitt PLC, a leading international company specialising in high performance components for the aerospace, defence and selected energy markets, is pleased to announce that Lufthansa Technik (LHT) Shenzhen, the company’s MRO partner for China, has been certified by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for the repair of Meggitt Fire Detector Products. The repair station also holds certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.

This is the first product group to be established at the LHT Shenzhen facility with future approvals anticipated for valves, heat exchangers and fire extinguishers. LHT Shenzhen is now officially authorised to perform maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services on Meggitt fire detectors for customers with Chinese-registered aircraft. The Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen facility will also act as a dedicated warranty centre, working closely with Meggitt’s Services & Support team in Singapore, to enhance the support for customers in Mainland China.
