Meggitt PLC, a leading international company specialising in high performance components and subsystems for the aerospace, defence and selected energy markets, has today marked the expansion of its Services & Support centre of excellence in Singapore with a celebration inviting customers, suppliers and dignitaries, to tour its purpose-built regional hub for aerospace aftermarket in Asia.
At 42,000 square feet, the facility has doubled in size to incorporate fire detectors, cable assemblies, actuators, sensors, valves and heat exchangers, adding over 100 new part numbers to the current aviation portfolio, with a focus on building capability to support the fastest growing new generation aircraft including the Airbus A320neo, Airbus A350XWB and Boeing 737MAX.
Meggitt welcomed guests from across the Asia Pacific aviation market to tour the expanded Centre of Excellence, located in the Seletar Aerospace Park, the centrepiece of Singaporeâs vibrant aerospace cluster which is home to over 60 leading industry players with business activities that span from engine manufacturing to Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), R&D and training.
