International aerospace, defence and energy engineering group, Meggitt, has been awarded silver in the Airbus supply chain and quality improvement programme (SQIP), the 5th consecutive year that the team has received either a gold or silver award. It is given to the supplier who demonstrates excellent operational performance.
The Airbus award panel includes representatives from a range of functions and reviews all aspects of supplier performance, including on-time delivery and product quality. Meggitt’s TFE facility in Toulouse was chosen from a short list of more than 350 suppliers in recognition of their outstanding performance.
Paul Devaux, President of Meggitt’s Power & Motion value stream, commented:
‘We are delighted to receive this award again. It shows that we are sustaining our excellent quality and on-time-delivery performance, as well as employing a high-performing supply chain. We will continue to focus on operational excellence and we intend to be back again in 2019.’
