Meggitt PLC, a leading international company specialising in high performance components and sub-systems for the aerospace, defence and energy markets, and Aviall, a Boeing Company and a leading solutions provider of aftermarket supply chain management services for the aerospace and defence industries, have agreed to extend a long-term logistic support agreement.
The initial agreement, put in place in late 2017, has been extended for Aviall to become the primary distribution and aftermarket parts support channel for the following late-stage lifecycle programmes; Casa 212, Dornier 228 and 328 (Turbo-props and Jets), BAE ATP, Hawker Sidley 748, Mitsubishi MU300/Beechjet, Gulfstream GI & GII and various General Aviation programmes.
Aviall is a longstanding partner of Meggitt and has been an authorised distributor for over 50 years. Aviall is qualified to take this leading role in providing the logistic support services that will assist Meggitt in maintaining dependable OEM approved parts availability at world class service levels for as long as active fleets remain in service.
Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems President, Luke Durudogan, commented: ‘This extension to our existing support agreement will benefit our customers through improved efficiencies in the supply chain through consolidation and forecasting demand requirements for these aircraft. Our customers will be able to benefit from the wider range of products and services available through Aviall.’
