Meggitt Sensing Systems has operated through its antecedents since 1927 under the names of Ferroperm Piezoceramics, Lodge Ignition, Endevco, Sensorex, ECET, Vibro-Meter and Wilcoxon Research. Today, their capabilities and facilities have been integrated under one Meggitt division, providing complete systems from a single supply base.

Our facility in Fribourg, Switzerland, formerly known as Vibro-Meter SA (www.vibro-meter.com), specialises in health and condition-based monitoring systems and high performance sensors.

A leader in its field, the facility produces a wide range of extreme temperature vibration, dynamic pressure and leading-edge microwave sensors and designs innovative software and electronics monitoring systems for aerospace and land-based turbo-machinery.

Industrial sensing and simplified condition-based maintenance

Our facility in Germantown, Maryland, formerly known as Wilcoxon Research (www.wilcoxon.com), specialises in highly reliable industrial vibration sensors and condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance applications.

The facility produces a wide range of vibration sensors for industrial, process control, military and test measurement. Its laboratories focus on state-of-the-art basic and applied research for military and government agencies.

Sensing solutions for challenging measurement applications

Our facility in San Juan Capistrano, California, formerly known as Endevco (www.endevco.com), specialises in mission-critical measurement in the aerospace, defence, automotive, industrial and medical sectors. Products include silicon variable capacitance and piezoresistive accelerometers and pressure transducers; laboratory and airborne test, signal conditioning and electronics and systems calibration equipment.

Flame and fluid monitoring

Our facility in Londonderry, New Hampshire, formerly known as Vibro-Meter, Inc (www.vibro-meter.com), specialises in aircraft fuel quality gauging systems, fuel flow sensors, engine oil level sensors and oil pressure sensors, chip detectors and collectors. It also manufactures optical fire detectors for energy and hazardous area flame detection markets.

Ignition systems, temperature sensors and speed probes

Our facilities in Rugby, UK and in Angoulème, France, formerly known as Vibro-Meter (www.vibro-meter.com), specialise in ignition systems for aerospace engines, power generation gas turbines, petrochemical installations and industrial burners. Our facility in Basingstoke, UK supplies and supports complete and integrated sensor packages and produces temperature and rotational speed sensors for aerospace.
